Kickstarter

by Rosie Barnes on May 07, 2014

Kickstarter is live!  For those who don’t know, I’ve been working for 15 years on this body of work about autism and my eldest son Stanley.  It has been published in various magazines including the Guardian Weekend, Foto8 and has been exhibited in various photofestivals and galleries in the UK and across Europe.

I have 30 days to reach my target so that ‘Understanding Stanley’ can fly!  Please jump in and order a first edition copy of the book in advance.  Thank you!

I’m really honoured, and indeed chuffed to have been included in this beautiful alumni book celebrating 21 years of the Photography BA at Brighton University.  I graduated in 1996 and the current graduating 3rd years and the head of the course, Magnum photographer Mark Power, had the idea to produce twin publications sharing the same slip sleeve.

Saturday’s Guardian Magazine

Saturday’s Guardian Magazine have run my story (along with Dea Birkett’s fantastic written piece) about siblings who have a brother or sister with a disability.
