Looking back through my archive and finding something to commemorate this most momentous of dates.  Back in 1994, when I was studying at Brighton University I went on a 3 week student exchange trip to the Art School in Amiens, Northern France.  I took the opportunity to go and visit the trenches where my Grandad, Yorkshireman Arthur Barnes had served.  I made this triptych.  Shellhole, Grandad, Trench.
